If you're here because you scanned the QR code on one of our invite cards, then you might be wondering about the images on that card and what they mean. Those images help explain the basics of the Christian faith.



As you can see, these images depict the story of the Bible, oftentimes referred to as the "metanarrative" or "grand narrative" of the Bible. As Christians, we believe God created the world, and that through sin, we now live in a fallen world. This explains why we experience things like tragedy and evil. However, we also believe that Jesus can redeem anyone through faith, and that gives us hope to carry us through this fallen world. And finally, we believe that God will restore us and the world in a way that is beautiful beyond description. We'd love for you to watch this short video explaining this grand narrative of the Bible. What to expect at First Baptist

We are well aware that a "First Baptist" church often carries with it some perceived expectations. Some people believe they need to be of a certain social status to attend our church, while others believe they need to dress a certain way. The truth is that we are just like nearly every other church in town - we are a normal church made up of normal, every day people who love the Lord and come here to fellowship with one another and worship the Lord, Jesus Christ. You will find some people dressed in their "Sunday best" and you will find some people dressed in blue jeans. We are far less concerned with your clothing than we are your heart.

We have small groups for all ages beginning at 9:30, and we come together for a blended service of traditional and modern songs all centered around the belief that Jesus Christ is Lord and that we are here to worship God above all else. Our pastor preaches expositional sermons that explain the Bible in a verse-by-verse manner, with clear and relevant applications to today.  Nursery and children's church are provided for those who would like their children to attend, but we are also incredibly welcoming to children of all ages in the worship service.
